John Evans

John Evans established Hawthorn Advisors in 2013. He has over 20 years’ experience working in financial and corporate communications, and reputation management. John currently advises a broad range of clients across the financial services, engineering, retail and property sectors. John also advises a number of Hawthorn’s private clients across business, politics and entertainment.

Since 1997, John built his experience working at some of London’s most established communications consultancies advising clients through many high profile and often complex situations.

In 2005 John started a London and Bangalore based digital production business servicing advertising agencies across Europe and the Middle East; the business subsequently raised private equity in 2005 and grew to over 80 people in 3 years. in 2010 the business was sold to an AIM listed printing solutions business.

John brings his clients a rare combination of communications expertise with first-hand experience of the challenges in building and running a business.

John is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is married with three children. John was included in the Spears Top Recommended list for reputation managers and won the CityWealth career achievement award. John also sits on a government SME advisory group.
